Crappie Fishing

“Croppie”, “Crappy”, “Speck”, “Sac-a-lait”, “Calico”, “Papermouth” – no matter what you call em Crappie is one of our all time favorite fish to catch.

Both White and Black Crappie are native to Truman Lake. This 55,600 acre reservoir provides tons of cover from standing timber and brush piles to creek channels and main lake flats Truman provides great crappie fishing year round.

Truman not only provides great numbers of crappie, it also produces large quality of crappie as well. Catching a 2+ pound fish is possible.

We target these slabs with many methods. From Spider Rigging to Single Pole Dipping, there is nothing like feeling the thump of a big ole female white crappie or sidewinding mean male black crappie bending that pole over.
